Large Modern Motel With Big Upside Potential.

Large Modern Motel With Big Upside Potential.
LH $475,000

This well located, modern 17 unit complex provides guests with very spacious, quality Qualmark rated Four Star accommodation. The current owners have struggled to operate effectively from the time a serious illness affected one of them and who is now unable to work. They have decided they must sell immediately and have priced their lease accordingly.

Modern motels of this size have the ability to perform at the higher levels because of their good number of units.  This complex comes with flexible units and design features which enable the operator to best meet the needs of the travelling public. With pleasing design features, great unit configuration and excellent long secure lease, this motel now needs a new owner to drive it and at this price it has to be a sure seller.

Being centrally located with easy access to the major tourist attractions of the city is ideal, as well as being in very close proximity to the Westpac Functions Centre, Addington Raceway, the central railway station, Christchurch Hospital, several sporting facilities and Hagley Park with the city’s Botanic Gardens.  Both the large Westfield Shopping Centre and the Tower Junction Shopping Centre are also close to the motel.

The good number of quality units here provides an astute purchaser with the opportunity to increase both turnover and profit, and in turn the market value of their business. It is very seldom indeed that the opportunity arises to purchase a larger motel leasehold at anything like this price. This is opportunity plus for an energetic new owner.

Hi Neil, thank you for your question. The lease was for 40 years from 1999 which is when the motel will have been built. So, around 29 years to go at the moment.
