Seaside Lifestyle - Good Performing Property

Reference: NM843
Motel / Motor Lodge
Business Lease Offers Over $400,000

This complex enjoys a high-profile position on State Highway One, with a land area of 3,758sqm. Guests have pedestrian access at the rear of the property directly to the beach.

A significant amount of new commercial development has been undertaken in recent years, providing easy access to supermarket, cafes & bars, and other retail establishments.

The large area of land affords the luxury of all units being ground floor. The owners have done a great job of refurbishing the property, along with installation of many new chattels and furnishings.

There is a separate three-bedroom manager's residence with its own private fenced off outdoor area.

The seaside settlement of Kaikoura is situated midway between Christchurch and Picton and capitalises on the Inter Island Ferry traffic. The passing traffic is high but the visitor activities that Kaikoura offers, such as the world-renowned Whale Watch, is a huge draw card for many visitors to the area.

The current owners have rejuvenated this property and have it running very profitably. Enjoy the benefits and seize an opportunity to join the high-profile hospitality industry.

Deteriorating health has made it necessary for the vendors to slash their expectations on this property leaving a bargain for the new owners.

Inky Stove

Inky joined Coffeys after spending over 20 years in the hospitality industry. The first five years were managing a group of four hotels and the last 15 successfully running his own hotel, where he was the longest standing publican in a hotel that was first opened in 1867.

Many changes in regulations in this industry has required lateral thinking and creative actions to stay competitive.  It is this philosophy that Inky brings to Coffeys along with outstanding service to his clients, which has been the cornerstone of his success in the industry.

Inky and his wife Paulette have raised two sons and two daughters and have six grandchildren.  His leisure activities include rugby, cricket and golf, as well as family and friends.
