Motel / Motor Lodge
Business Lease $850,000

Situated on the Esplanade with outstanding views of the ocean and the Seaward Kaikoura mountain range, this 13 unit property is performing at an outstanding level with occupancy at around 92% and showing a return on investment of just under 30%.

All units are equipped with good chattels and fittings, however there are still outstanding earthquake repairs to be finalised. With those completed, the property should be very well presented to continue the current trading performance.

The property is right across from the beach deemed suitable for swimming and also very close to the Kaikoura swimming pool. About 20 minutes' walk or a 5 minute drive to the main shopping area, with some cafes and restaurants closer by if required.

Whale Watching is the main catchment industry for the tourist industry but is by no means the only activity attraction in Kaikoura. Swimming with the seals and dolphins, fishing charters, mountain biking, great hiking tracks, golf course, top class restaurants and cafes - all exciting activities to satisfy local and international holiday makers.

This is a very profitable option not to be missed.

Inky Stove

Inky joined Coffeys after spending over 20 years in the hospitality industry. The first five years were managing a group of four hotels and the last 15 successfully running his own hotel, where he was the longest standing publican in a hotel that was first opened in 1867.

Many changes in regulations in this industry has required lateral thinking and creative actions to stay competitive.  It is this philosophy that Inky brings to Coffeys along with outstanding service to his clients, which has been the cornerstone of his success in the industry.

Inky and his wife Paulette have raised two sons and two daughters and have six grandchildren.  His leisure activities include rugby, cricket and golf, as well as family and friends.
