Hi everyone,
My wife and I are currently travelling around beautiful New Zealand in our motorhome with our 8-year-old daughter, which means we have the flexibility to go wherever we are needed. We have finished our road trip and we’re looking to take on motel manager roles again.
For the past three years we have been managing Captain Cook Motor Lodge in Gisborne, a 36-room property with a team of 12 staff, an on-site restaurant and conference facilities. During our time there we gained extensive experience in the day-to-day running of a busy motel operation including reservations, guest services, housekeeping coordination, staff management, and general operations.
In addition, I worked closely with the owner to help bring two newly purchased motels in Gisborne up and running Alfresco Motor Lodge and On Gladstone Motor Lodge assisting with setup, systems, and operational processes.

We also spent a season working in the kiwifruit industry in Tauranga, which has provided us with hands-on experience in outdoor and farm work. This has helped us develop strong physical resilience, teamwork, and adaptability in demanding environments.
Combining our experience and complementary skills. I could support reception, guest services, or front-of-house tasks, while Lucas would be a great fit for maintenance, gardening, outdoor operations, or general support roles.
